Staff uniforms, school sports days, National Day events, team outings: sooner or later every office and school needs printed T-shirts. The print method you choose changes how the shirt looks, how it feels and how long it lasts. Here are the three methods to know.

DTF printing

DTF means "direct to film". The design is printed on a special film and then pressed onto the shirt with heat.

  • Works on cotton, polyester and mixed fabrics.
  • Works on both dark and light shirts.
  • Good for full-colour logos and photos, and for small quantities.
  • You can feel the print as a thin layer on top of the fabric.

See DTF printing.

Sublimation printing

In sublimation, heat pushes the ink into the fibres of the fabric. Nothing sits on top, so the print cannot crack or peel, and the shirt stays soft and light.

  • Needs polyester fabric. It does not work on pure cotton.
  • Needs a white or light-coloured shirt, because there is no white ink.
  • Best for sports jerseys and designs that cover the whole shirt.

Light polyester shirts are comfortable for outdoor events in Qatar's heat. See sublimation printing.

Embroidery

Embroidery is not printing. The logo is stitched into the fabric with thread. It looks smart and lasts through many washes.

  • Best for a small logo on the chest of a uniform, on a cap or on a jacket.
  • Not suitable for photos, colour fades or very small text.

See embroidery.

What we print on

Besides T-shirts, we print and brand caps, uniforms, safety vests and winter jackets.

What to send us

  1. Your logo or design as a PDF, an AI file or a large PNG. A screenshot from a phone is usually too small to print clearly.
  2. Where the print goes and how big: left chest, full front, back or sleeve.
  3. Shirt colour and fabric. If you are not sure, tell us what the shirts are for and we will suggest one.
  4. How many of each size. Collect the sizes from your team in one list before you order.
  5. The date you need them. Order early before National Day and other busy seasons.

Check the spelling, the logo colours and the sizes on the final artwork before you approve it.

How to keep the print looking new

  • Wash the shirt inside out in cool water.
  • Do not iron directly on the print.
  • Do not use bleach.
